DC-1000 Data Concentrator
Data concentrators manage devices on the power line network and provide the connectivity infrastructure between meters and the NES System Software.
|
• |
Manage up to 1,024 NES meters and 4,096 associated M-Bus devices |
• |
Automatically discover meters on installation and as the result of dynamic network topology changes |
• |
Collect and report meter data, including consumption and power quality |
• |
Can be installed at any point in the low voltage network topology, including behind a poly-phase, transformer-operated or single-phase meter, to allow optimal modem connectivity and minimal installation costs |
• |
Internal modem bay accepts and powers readily-available standard wired and wireless modems |
• |
Communicate with the NES System Software using standard TCP/IP-capable wide area networks such as GSM, GPRS, CDMA, Ethernet, and traditional analog telephone service |
• |
Use authenticated and encrypted transactions with devices for enhanced power line communications security |

ECAS® System |
ECAS® is a system for real time control and reporting of electrical energy consumption of subscribers based on LonWorks® technology. ECAS®is a hierarchical data acquisition and control system on two levels – control post and distributed objects (power transformers’ kiosks with the distribution network attached to them). |
|
The two-way data communication between the levels can be carried out via twisted pair, low voltage power line, radio channel, GSM, wireless LAN etc. |
Main functions:
• |
Automatic, remote reading of meters’ registers and status |
• |
Remote switching on/off of the subscribers’ electricity supply |
• |
Supervision of the state of the equipment in the distribution panels and the way of exploitation of them by the subscribers |
• |
Setting limits for the electrical power usage and disconnection when the set limit is exhausted |

SKALAR Devices |
|
The Skalar is a communication computer, equipped with state of the art IP technology and loadable software modules. A high-capacity 32 bit microprocessor system with 1 Mbyte RAM and 2 Mbyte Flash memory and a real-time multi-task operating system are the core of Skalar. |
Regardless of where Skalar is applied, it always adapts itself to its tasks. This can be a simple data transfer, the processing of measuring data, a plausibility check on site, error detection etc. The intelligence is remotely configured in the device thereby eliminating costly on-site inspections. |
|
• |
Communication with one or more remote stations ensures optionally over GSM/GPRS, RSTN, ISDN or Ethernet. |
• |
A transparent intelligent data modem with IEC 1107 protocol support is implemented as the first application in the base devices |
• |
Integrated optional interfaces - CL1, RS232, RS485 or Mbus |

GEMS |
Gorlitz Energy Monitoring System (GEMS) is a software tool for acquisition, display and management of load profile data. |
|
• |
Based on an industrial standard data base according to Microsoft Access format |
• |
Standard license allows the simultaneous acquisition for 20 load profiles |
• |
Data transfer for measurement data is done using FTP (File Transfer Protocol) |
• |
Data can be displayed as table, line graph or statistics |
• |
Compatibility – measurement devices, which can be accessed by the FTP-features of intelligent modems AMC 190(G) and SKALAR, can be used as primary data sources for GEMS. |
